大多数的机器人焊接也是气体保护焊接,需要一种气体对焊接处进行保护隔离,防止焊接处氧化造成焊接不良。常见的焊接方法有CO2气体保护焊、MAG和MIG焊。CO2气体保护焊就是以99%以上的二氧化碳气体作为保护气体的焊接方法;MAG是80%的隋性气体(氩气或氦气)+20%的二氧化碳气体作为保护按气体来焊接的方法;MIG是以99.9%的隋性气体(氩气或氦气)作为保护气体焊接的方法。

MIG主要应用在铝、铜等的有色金属焊接中,CO2焊接是焊接应用中使用多的焊接方法,具有强度高、成本低的特点。但缺点是焊接时飞溅太多,焊渣不易清理。而使用MAG焊,即能保证焊接强度,外观成形好,焊渣少。是近几年在FANUC焊接机器人应用中使用为广泛的一种焊接方法。
MIG is mainly used in the welding of non-ferrous metals such as aluminum and copper, and CO2 welding is the most commonly used welding method in welding applications, with the characteristics of high strength and low cost. But the disadvantage is that there is too much spatter during welding, and the welding slag is difficult to clean. Using MAG welding can ensure welding strength, good appearance, and less welding slag. It is the most widely used welding method in the application of FANUC welding robots in recent years.
